This week at Central, our SRO Officer Anne joined our school counselor to teach lessons about lockdown drills and ALICE. These lessons are taught with sensitivity and consideration to our students' ages, while making sure they are fully informed and prepared for emergency situations. 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade had their lesson this week and 4th and 6th will have their ALICE lesson next week.

The district now has overflow parking in the lots (highlighted in the picture) across from the Central Elementary flag pole. The parking is available, if needed, for all school events including our Grandparents Day breakfast/book fair on Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

HS football will practice at central Monday - Thursday next week. We will be full pads Monday - Wednesday and half shell on Thursday (reminder that black shorts are what is to be worn for half shell days). Friday we will go to Girard for jamboree and all players will ride the bus. If your son does not have a travel waiver and code of conduct signed and returned by Friday they will not be traveling with the team. HS football practice will be 6:30pm at the stadium Tuesday. We will not be practicing inside.
Due to excessive heat to start the week HS FOOTBALL will be having practice in the evening @ 6:30pm Monday August 18th. Athletes will need to have all of their football equipment to practice outside (helmet, guardian cap, practice jersey, girdle, mouthpiece, black shorts and cleats) and also athletic shoes (not slides, flip flops, hey dudes, crocs etc.) in case we have to start practice inside the high school gym.
