It was brought to my attention by two students at Highland that we should be celebrating Taco Tuesday by having taco's on Tuesdays and not another day of the week so there will be a menu change on Sept 25 & 26th. Thank you ladies for the reminder.

The game scheduled with Parsons today has been cancelled because of their field being too wet and unplayable. Looking for a date to reschedule.
Lady Titan Golf played an 18 hole tournament at Briarbrook, hosted by Carl Junction. The following schools were there: Lamar, Carthage, Joplin, Republic, Carl Junction, Pittsburg, and Webb City. Missouri only gives out the top two teams, but your Lady Titans placed 3rd. Missouri also only hands out the top 5 individual places. Mallory Thompson placed 2nd overall, Reese Grundy tied for 4th place. The Lady Titans were not intimidated playing the bigger schools at all. They hung in there and played very well.
Jr. High fall sports photos will be Wednesday, September 13th. Kids will be called out at 2:15 and we will start pictures then. They will still practice after photos.
Lady Titans Golf placed 3rd as a team at Girard on Thursday. Individually, Mallory Thompson tied for first but lost the tie breaker and finished in second. Reese Grundy placed third. Great job, ladies!

After School Programing is priority to students in need of academic supports. We have students Monday-Thursday and transportation is not provided.

The high school soccer match at Coffeyville has been canceled because of Coffeyville not having enough JV players. It is tentatively rescheduled for 10/12 at Coffeyville now.

High School Tennis at Chanute tomorrow (8/24/23) has been cancelled due to the heat.
Due to the forecasted heat on Friday, the high school football jamboree at Labette County will start at 7:30 PM.
Back to School Carnival Change of Date!
Due to Excessive Heat warnings on 8/24, we are moving the Back to School Carnival to 8/31
The JV tennis match in LC today and the JV golf match Thursday in Baxter have both been canceled because of the heat. As of now, no make up dates are scheduled.
With the excessive heat warning in effect next week the HS football team will practice Monday - Thursday at 7pm at the HS stadium. We will be full pads every day.
Saturday August 19th the HS football team will have their lawn chair scrimmage at the HS stadium. We will practice with the youth football players from 8-9am (grades 3-6) and begin our scrimmage at 9:15am.
Jamboree in Labette the following week will charge admission so we are asking for donations of water or Gatorade (sports drinks) at our lawn chair scrimmage instead.
If spectators want to donate water or Gatorade (sports drinks) we will have a place marked for it at the stadium entrance.
❤️💛Beginning tomorrow morning drop offs will be at the main gym. Food Service will be providing "Grab and Go"breakfast for students eating school breakfast. We will let you know when we go back to the cafeteria for breakfast. Thank you for helping everyone to get through the beginning of school❤️💛
