About Me

   My name is Theresa Rhuems and I teach 1st grade at Park School. I attended Pittsburg State University where I received my Bachelor's and Master's degree in education.

    I have taught for 20 years in the Columbus School District. Throughout those years I have taught Title 1 Reading and Math, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade.

    My husband and I have been married for 38 years. We have two children, both graduates of PSU. We have one beautiful granddaughter who is our pride and joy. She is 7 years old and just began second grade this year.

    I am very family-oriented. I have two brothers and 3 sisters. We enjoy traveling and doing things together, which is sometimes difficult because we all live in different states. 

    I enjoy traveling (preferably the Caribbean), snow skiing, water skiing, relaxing by the pool, reading, landscaping, and remodeling.

    Working with children is what I've always wanted to do. I couldn't imagine doing anything else!
