Next Scrap Round Up Set for March 29, 2008
by Bobbi Williams
On Saturday, October 20, Central School Ambassadors with the Columbus Lions Club raised more than $800 for the Columbus Community Foundation. The money is put in line items designated for Central School and the Lions Club.
Some of Lions Club members and Central School Ambassadors with their parents worked in Apple Market parking lot from 7:30-12:00, taking metal products for recycling. Other members drove around town completing call in pick ups from people unable to make deliveries to the round up location.
The next round up is scheduled for March 29, 2008. Use Spring Break to clean out your garages and storage areas for all the unneeded metal products. If you need assistance, call Central School and we'll send someone to help.
Thanks to the Columbus community for supporting this joint community service project.
