Score Columbus 50 Baxter 12
The 8th grade Columbus football team played a great game last night against Baxter Springs. Highlights on the night were the six touchdowns runs scored by Tyler Elmore, a 33 yard interception for a touchdown by Travis Jones, but most of all our offensive line had great night of blocking for our running backs. The team played hard and had many big hits during the night. Our defense played a good game as well in only giving up one touchdown on the night. Baxter’s other score came on a 20 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. Overall the Titan coaching staff was very pleased with our teams effort. They came out and scored on the first offensive play, and continued to outplay Baxter the entire night. Our next game is against Riverton Thursday night in Riverton at 6:00.
